Job Description

Summary/Objective:  Develops, researches, designs, implements, tests, and evaluates SSRS and SSIS packages to convert and report on data. This position works in cross-functional team to maintain data scheme templates and assist development and quality assurance to ensure timely delivery of software releases. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop SQL queries and stored procedure to meet data and reporting requirements
  • Ability to create source to target mapping documents 
  • Design and maintain SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) processes to convert data into prescribed data scheme layouts. 
  • Design and maintain reports built for use in SQL Server Report Services (SSRS). 
  • Work in a cross-functionality position assisting development and quality assurance team members to adjust database scheme and data to meet functionality requirements. 
  • Write detailed documentation outlining data conversion processes in step by step format to train additional team members. 
  • Provide regular updates with respect to progress on tasks and projects. 
  • Provide support as needed to resolve production issues.

Bachelor’s degree in computer technology field preferred.



  • Minimum 4 years experience including:
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services
  • Experience with SQL Server Report Services
  • Experience writing C#
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology
  • Experience with use and administration of source code repositories



  • Ability to collaborate with a multifunctional team
  • Ability to analyze problems and design, implement and test appropriate solutions to problems
  • Ability to document and communicate technical information for consumption by ES&S managers and associates
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form including abstract and/or concrete variables

Licenses/Certifications:  Software certifications a plus.


Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

Travel:  Approximately 5% travel is anticipated.
