  • Job Description

    Responsible for maintaining corporate financial records and regular preparation of accounting reports and journal entries. Assist in the maintenance of the Company’s financial reporting system. Assist in the investigation of variance issues and prepare company general ledger accounts for auditing.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

    • Prepares reconciliations of all cash accounts, intercompany and various other general ledger accounts.
    • Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules on the FAS Software System
    • Assists with month-end margin analysis, financial reporting and report distribution from the Clarity Financial System.
    • Assist and work with the accounting staff to perform business analysis and produce month end financial reporting packages for distribution to internal and external users. Participate in month end close meetings.
    • Prepare other financial related ad hoc analysis and other special projects / deep dives as assigned.
    • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, monthly outlooks, and long-term forecasts. The annual budget process will include working closely with business stakeholders and department heads to determine the upcoming fiscal year budget.  Monthly outlooks include updates to the annual budget for the balance of the fiscal year to reflect current market and operating conditions.
    • Reconcile intercompany on a weekly basis, including researching and proposing General Journal Entries.
    • Performing account analysis monthly for various general ledger accounts.
    • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time – quite often on short notice – by the Management team.
    • Assist in and provide timely and accurate support for annual tax and financial audit.

    Qualifications:

     

    Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience.

     

    Experience:       

    At least 2 to 4 years experience including:

    Experience in Accounting and/or Finance

    Experience in preparation of journal entries to the general ledger and financial statements reporting

     

    Competencies:

    Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook, with an emphasis on the use oo Excel.

    The ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing across the organization will be weighed heavily.   Needs to have above average communication skills.

    Strong interpersonal skills are needed.

    Attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors. 

    Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

     

    Licenses/Certifications Required:     No Requirement

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.

     

    Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

    Travel:  Approximately <5% travel is expected
