  • Job Description

    A Specialist, Certification Documentation is responsible for coordinating, producing, editing, proofreading and occasional writing of the Technical Data Package required by the federal VVSG and various state regulations. This role collaborates closely with Product Development, Product Management, Product & customer Operations, certification services and technical documentation services to ensure product data complies with certification requirements.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Research requirements defined by the federal VVSG and states’ regulations and coordinate production of Technical Documentation Packages (TDP) in compliance with federal and state voting system compliance reviews.
    1. Manage documentation projects by forecasting data requirements, scheduling deliverables coinciding with federal and state voting system reviews, communicating with system evaluators, identifying and resolving documentation issues, and control and update versions of TDP.
    1. Develop and update document templates and train stakeholders in appropriate standards applied for producing TDP materials.
    1. Audit and monitor data, systems, and processes for compliance to federal and state policies and laws.
    1. Evaluate and make recommendations for continuous improvement in the processes for coordinating and producing TDP materials in an optimal manner.

    Qualifications:

     

    Education:  Must have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent background

     

    Experience:          

    At least 3 years experience including:

    Experience with overseeing projects

    Experience writing and responding to requests for proposals (RFP) requiring extensive technical content

    Experience managing technical writing projects

    Skilled using SharePoint

     

    Competencies:    

    Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and deadlines

    Strong Technical writing capacity including writing, editing and proofreading

    Strong desktop publishing skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Visio

    Strong communication proficiency both orally and in writing

    Interpersonal effectiveness/credibility

    Problem Solving/Analysis

     

    Licenses/Certifications Required:  None

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

     

    Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

    Travel:  Approximately <10% travel is expected.
