    A Coordinator I, Proposals is responsible for implementing activities to assure requests for proposals (RFP) are properly scheduled, disseminated to stakeholders, organized, written and tracked and in compliance with solicitation requests.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Coordinate the request for proposal (RFP) bid process by analyzing the bid, developing a comprehensive bid profile, schedule task assignments, disseminating bid to stakeholders, and writing thoughtful responses that present of company and product and service offerings in the best competitive position complying with proposal deliverables checklist and compliance matrix.
    1. Collaborate regularly with stakeholders including but not limited to Regional Sales Managers, professional services, finance and legal representatives and related subject matter experts (SME) to assure timely and accurate completion of required bid related forms including bid bond form, proposed configuration form and final proposal.
    1. Coordinate production of bid proposal including developing first draft responses, generating subsequent drafts through final edition, track/report project status relative to project milestones, printing, binding, collating, shipping and distribution of final copy and archive in proposal files.
    1. Assist department manager in developing continuous process improvements focused on improving our competitive bids and enhancing our RFP responses management and maintain updated database information, modular materials and proposal boiler plate documents.

    Education:  Must have a bachelor’s degree, Journalism, Business communications; Marketing communications or related field



    At least 3 years experience including:

    Experience with technical proposal coordination requiring attention to detail and sense of urgency

    Experience writing technical proposals in response to state and local government solicitations



    Advanced skill level in writing, editing, proofreading and coordinating

    Maintain current and in depth knowledge of product technologies

    Strong capacity to communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization

    Good problem solving ability

    Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


    Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

    Travel:  Approximately <10%% travel is expected.


    Security:  Required to consistently demonstrate adherence to all security requirements and accepted practices as contained in the current ES&S Security Policy.  Incumbents must proactively read, comprehend and adhere to all ES&S security policies, practices and procedures regarding the safety and safekeeping of co-workers, products, services and other intellectual property as defined in the ES&S New Business and Non-disclosure, or Proprietary matters, Confidential matters and Non-Competition agreements, and the current ES&S Security Policy Manual.
