    The Manager, Data Conversion Services is responsible for planning and implementing data conversion services required by internal and external customers.  This includes but is not limited to the acquisition and manipulation of electronic data so that it can be mapped for use by ES&S proprietary systems.  This role manages the work of a team of Data Conversion Specialists that is responsible for ensuring accurate and complete collection and delivery of end-to-end election event information.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Manage data conversion projects by assigning and monitoring work including but not limited to gathering client configuration requirements, analyze customer file formats, develop ETL processes; quality assurance testing to validate integrity and application functionality.
    2. Identify and develop standard operating procedures to best organize the multiple conversion efforts required by ES&S stakeholders.
    3. Organize tool and equipment needs to gain efficiencies in data conversion processes.
    4. Collaborate effectively with customers and third-party vendors in accomplishing project objectives.
    5. Provide both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks, issues, and makes recommendations on project decisions to Operations Management and key internal stakeholders.
    6. Manage multiple, simultaneous projects that may not fit into a defined program.
    7. Evaluate complex situations accurately and identify viable solutions that create successful outcomes.
    8. Maintain lessons-learned inputs in a project repository for utilization on future projects.
    9. Ensure all company ‘defined processes’ are used to successfully implement projects/programs.
    10. Manage the planning of timelines, scope and resources to execute projects.
    11. Influence change to improve key business results.
    12. Ability to respond to change productively and perform additional duties as requested or assigned.

    Education:  Must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer technology field;



    At least 5 years experience including:

    Knowledge of Access, Excel, CSV, XML, SQL Server

    Management of complex software products in a high-tech environment

    Experience prioritizing tasks in a high-pressure environment

    Desired knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, C#, Microsoft Visual Studio, SharePoint



    Highly motivated and organized

    Technical capacity

    Problem Solving/Analysis

    Communication proficiency

    Personal effectiveness/credibility

    Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position will directly supervise a small team of 5-10 full time employees as well as temporary/contract labor during periods of peak production.


    Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.  This role requires occasional night and weekend work schedules.

    Travel:  Approximately <10% travel is expected.


    Security:  Required to consistently demonstrate adherence to all security requirements and accepted practices as contained in the current ES&S Security Policy.  Incumbents must proactively read, comprehend and adhere to all ES&S security policies, practices and procedures regarding the safety and safekeeping of co-workers, products, services and other intellectual property as defined in the ES&S New Business and Non-disclosure, or Proprietary matters, Confidential matters and Non-Competition agreements, and the current ES&S Security Policy Manual.
