    An Analyst I, Business under close supervision is responsible defining requirements and specifications for sub-sets of products that manage elections. This position works across functions to ensure continuity in product development in alignment with customer/product goals.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Under close supervision, utilize interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys business process descriptions, use cases and work flows to document, validate, prioritize, trace and convey product sub-set requirements.
    2. Contribute to business planning sessions and provides direction to ensure understanding of business goals.
    3. Assist in assessing stakeholder needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying business priorities.
    4. Assist team in Product Handoff and End user training sessions
    5. Evaluate and reconcile information gathered from multiple sources, decomposes high-level information into details, abstract low-level information for general understanding and distinguish user requests from the underlying business need(s).
    6. Keep stakeholders informed of problems, issues, and status.
    7. Perform implementation reviews to validate requirements, user stories and agreed upon design p0rovided in the functional specifications are correctly developed.
    8. Participate in project scope determination, release planning and work estimation.

    Education: Must have an Associate's or a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science related field or equivalent work experience



    At least 1 year of relevant Technical/Software development work experience including:

    Working knowledge of Microsoft application and Visio

    Experience with issue tracking and prototyping tools

    Experience with requirements management tools, creating use cases and activity programs

    Conceptual knowledge of data modeling, data base design, SQL and data Analysis preferred

    Graphic design training and/or experience preferred

    Usability engineering training and/or experience preferred

    Technical writing training and/or certification is desirable

    Preferred knowledge of SDLC tools like JIRA, Confluence & Test Rail



    Technical capacity to accomplish limited scope and complexity of tasks

    Problem Solving/Analysis under the guidance of close supervision

    Ability to follow guidelines and instructions

    Effectively communicates verbally and in writing

    Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


    Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

    Travel:  Approximately 20% travel is expected.
