    The Specialist, Data Conversion is responsible for transforming data to be imported by ES&S proprietary software that includes but not limited to ETL, data analysis, reporting, processing and testing to ensure accurate and complete end-to-end election event information.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Under the supervision of Manager, Data Conversion this role gathers client configuration requirements and performs detailed analysis of file formats to ensure data integrity, application functionality and quality in alignment with customer expectations.
    2. Create and maintain documentation on all processes and procedures necessary for implementation of customer requirements.
    3. Implement and maintain SQL code in SSIS to process non-compliant data files.
    4. Retain inheritance code until go-forward is complete. This includes batch programs that load data into Postgre SQL database and SQL code written into a proprietary data conversion tool.
    5. Provide application support to external and internal stakeholders.

    Education:  Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a computer technology field;




    At least 2 years experience including:

    Technical proficiency with Access, Excel and SQL

    Technical proficiency desired with SSIS, SSRS, Crystal Reports, Jasper, XML, PPML, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SQLite, PostScript, and Powershell



    Strong Technical know-how

    Well developed verbal and written communications skills

    Analytical/Problem Solving Skills

    Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


    Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.


    Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.


    Travel:  Approximately <10% travel is expected.


    Security:  Required to consistently demonstrate adherence to all security requirements and accepted practices as contained in the current ES&S Security Policy.  Incumbents must proactively read, comprehend and adhere to all ES&S security policies, practices and procedures regarding the safety and safekeeping of co-workers, products, services and other intellectual property as defined in the ES&S New Business and Non-disclosure, or Proprietary matters, Confidential matters and Non-Competition agreements, and the current ES&S Security Policy Manual.
