  • Job Description

    An Analyst I, Hardware Support is responsible for providing resolution to ES&S proprietary hardware issues that may occur among Election Operations customers. This responsibility includes but is not limited to evaluating, troubleshooting and ownership of the resolution of the technical issue.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Function as a subject matter expert (SME) with respect to ES&S proprietary purpose built hardware products functionality and provide advice, guidance to customers in need of issue resolution.
    1. Collaborate with team members to improve ES&S proprietary hardware/equipment performance and issues resolution processes in alignment with customer expectations of quality service.
    1. Retain personal ownership of the issue resolution process from initial diagnosis, correction process and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
    1. Collaborate with Operations Training to provide input on training materials and processes so that quality instruction may be provided to customers.

    Qualifications:

     

    Education: Certificate in computer technology or electronics field preferred.

     

    Experience:       

    At least 1-year experience including:

    Proficiency with hardware and software interface operations;

     

    Competencies:

    Technical capacity

    Problem Solving/Analysis

    Communication proficiency

    Personal effectiveness/credibility

     

    Licenses/Certifications Required:  None

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

     

    Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

     

    Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 80 pounds.

     

    Travel:  Up to 10-15% travel is anticipated.

     

    Security:  Required to consistently demonstrate adherence to all security requirements and accepted practices as contained in the current ES&S Security Policy.  Incumbents must proactively read, comprehend and adhere to all ES&S security policies, practices and procedures regarding the safety and safekeeping of co-workers, products, services and other intellectual property as defined in the ES&S New Business and Non-disclosure, or Proprietary matters, Confidential matters and Non-Competition agreements, and the current ES&S Security Policy Manual.
