The ES&S, Field Services Technician I, installs, tests, and repairs ES&S hardware and software products assigned to the technician’s territory. This position requires formal training or previous experience in electronics, computer technology or mechanical principles.

Education: Must have a vocational degree in electronics, mechanical or computer technology fields; or equivalent experience in a Field Services position working on electro-mechanical equipment.

Licenses/Certifications Required: Driver’s license
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving Electro/mechanical parts and noise. This position requires travel in a variety of weather conditions. The employee must be able to work in non-climate controlled work areas such as hot, cold and humid conditions.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to stand, sit or bend for extended periods of time. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Travel: Approximately 70% travel annually is expected.

Incumbents must proactively read, comprehend and adhere to all ES&S security policies, practices and procedures regarding the safety and safekeeping of co-workers, products, services and other intellectual property as defined in the ES&S New Business and Non-disclosure, or Proprietary matters, Confidential matters and Non-Competition agreements, and the current ES&S Security Policy Manual.
