Job Description

Analyst, Finance is responsible for assisting the Manager of Forecasting and Budgeting in the preparation of a variety of financial models, business analysis and special financial-related projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  1. Assist in the maintenance of the Company’s financial reporting system. This includes, report development, dashboard creation, new account and department setup, and end user troubleshooting.
  2. Assist and work with the accounting staff to perform business analysis and produce month end financial reporting packages for distribution to internal and external users. Participate in month end close meetings.
  3. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, monthly outlooks, and long-term forecasts. The annual budget process will include working closely with business stakeholders and department heads to determine the upcoming fiscal year budget.  Monthly outlooks include updates to the annual budget for the balance of the fiscal year to reflect current market and operating conditions.
  4. Assist in the development of flexible and scalable standard cost models to support the Pricing and Accounting Teams. These models will be integral in analyzing the company’s margin performance.  The models will be built with the input of business line stakeholders to ensure buy-in, and this position will be responsible for maintenance of the models and analysis and explanation of variances from the standard on a monthly basis.
  5. Prepare other financial related ad hoc analysis and other special projects / deep dives as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

 

 

Experience:          

At least 3 years experience including:

Financial Analyst and/or Accounting-related role

Proficient excel Capabilities

Understanding of Access or OLAP databases

Financial report development and creation, budgeting and forecasting experience

Understanding of GAAP beneficial

 

Competencies:

Communication proficiency

Personal effectiveness/credibility

 

Licenses/Certifications Required: None

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

Travel:  Approximately <5% travel is expected.
