Job Description

A Manager, Regional Sales is responsible for the sale and market share of ES&S products in a specified region or major geographical area and provides ongoing support to a product distribution channel. Regional Sales Managers focus on sales revenue and market share growth goals in their assigned geographic regions in alignment with strategic objectives of ES&S.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, set strategy and implement plans that deliver revenue growth, market share growth and strong customer service for the assigned region/territory. Plans and activities performed include but are not limited to initiating and maintaining regular contact with existing and prospective customers reporting/forecasting sales milestones, collaborating with appropriate stakeholders to identify, acquire and close sales opportunities, prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations with respect to product hardware, firmware and software among customers, and creating additional sales revenue through new and add-on sales of products and services to include service agreements for hardware/firmware, software, and ballot printing and election services.
  1. Develop, maintain and grow relationships with clients’ key decision makers in all jurisdictions of the assigned region. This includes but is not limited to understanding client needs for election products and services, being an expert in the full array of software, hardware and service products offered by ES&S, and demonstrating strong interpersonal attributes that will influence decision makers toward our products and services.
  1. Remain current on the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to all jurisdictions of your region and continuously update your current knowledge of ES&S products and services.
  1. Contribute toward the preparation of short-term and long-term sales plans, budgeting, and financial performance for the assigned territory

Qualifications:

 

Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer technology field;

 

 

Experience:          

 

At least 5 years experience including:

Experience in sales management of technology based solutions

Experience with sales to state and local governments

 

Competencies:    

 

Expert knowledge of products and services

Strategic ability to transform current state conditions into growth oriented future state

Ability to aggressively exploit sales opportunities

Strong interpersonal skills including outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills

Proficiency in MS Office Suite 

 

Licenses/Certifications Required:  None

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

 

Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Travel:  Approximately 80% travel is expected.

 

Security:  Required to consistently demonstrate adherence to all security requirements and accepted practices as contained in the current ES&S Security Policy.  Incumbents must proactively read, comprehend and adhere to all ES&S security policies, practices and procedures regarding the safety and safekeeping of co-workers, products, services and other intellectual property as defined in the ES&S New Business and Non-disclosure, or Proprietary matters, Confidential matters and Non-Competition agreements, and the current ES&S Security Policy Manual.
